I’m Eric Wiemer!
I’m a corn-fed Midwesterner. In my free time, I play the drums in a punk band and binge on comedy podcasts. More often than not, you can find me riding my beloved yellow road bike and drinking scalding hot coffee.
I currently work as a Survey Statistician with the U.S. Census Bureau. Overall, my work is defined by a passion for effective, data-driven stories. I am particularly interested in communication and use computational social science and natural language processing, as well as more traditional methods like surveys and experiments. I mainly work in Python, R, and Tableau but I earnestly think of myself as a life-long learner!
